Dope Earth Alien is the project of Toronto-born singer and songwriter Kenisha Humber. Inspired by her time in Hackney, DEA worked with local producers to cultivate a signature R&B sound which layers textural vocal complexity with emotional heft and lyrical levity in the storytelling tradition of old school hip hop.
Down With Me combines these two fantastic artists and creates a powerful, energetic dance tune with signatures sounds from each artist. The lau.ra sound effects and groove shine through in this one as an array of sounds attack from every angle. Alongside this encompassing mix, the fast and choppy vocals ride the groove and fit in perfectly into this song keeping he energy levels up and getting stuck in your head all day.
