Beginning this collection of tracks is Boy's Shorts' Suburban Love Affair (Brian Ring Remix). Starting with some lovely keyboard you are sent straight into this one. The bass and drums arrive shortly after with rhythmic qualities pulled straight from the 80s giving the song masses of flavour and filling. Just when you want to hear them, the echoing vocals appear and add yet another layer to this already packed out song, alongside electronic instruments and melodies. Charlie Hepworth is a 24 year old DJ from Leeds who is best known for his online mixes on soundcloud after videos of him DJing went viral on Facebook. He amassed over 20 million streams on his soundcloud mixes alone + another 10 million on other social media platforms. From this success Charlie played at some of the best events & festivals all over the UK + his own tour abroad. His track on this collection is pumping dance banger, Its Satisfaction. This song gives you no warning whatsoever and you are hit straight away with the pounding drums as you are teased by risers. Fred Ventura and Paolo Gozzetti produced, arranged and mixed a host of dancefloor tracks in their individual careers with great continuity and clarity of intent. Since 2010 they decided to join forces and give more continuity to their electronic raids using the pseudonym Italoconnection. The aim is to revive the glories of the early ’80s Italo Disco in a modern form. The bass is extremely 80s and the gated snares add that final touch of big hair flair which was so synonymous with the era.
